Duchally Lodge is set on a hillside at the head of Glen Cassley. The Lodge has sweeping views down the Glen and across to Ben Mor Assynt. A walk up the hill reveals breathtaking panoramic views across heather moorland to the peaks on the west coast of Scotland. The Lodge has retained its traditional 'Highland croft-house' style but has been modernised to provide extremely comfortable and cosy accommodation that is also very practical forfamilies and those who enjoy the outdoors.

Wild Red and Sika deer can be seen daily from the Lodge. You may in fact awake to find the herd on your doorstep! They are an intriguing attraction of the Lodge and a wonderful sight to greet you. During the Winter months, the deer are fed, an activity enjoyed particularly by children. There is also a trout pool below the Lodge, perfect for supervised youngsters to have their first go at fishing.

Duchally Estate is breathtakingly beautiful. Covering 12,000 acres in the remote Highlands, the landscape is absolute Highland wilderness. Heather, peat, a diversity of wildlife and delicate wild flowers give this Estate a majesty akin to some of the most spectacular places on earth. Yet it is easily accessible via Inverness. As you approach the Estate along twelve miles of single track road, you can only be inspired by the landscape at the foot of Ben Mor Assynt and the palette of colours from the silver-grey river to the purple-blue mountains.

 
  This is the perfect setting to totally escape to wide open spaces and discover the best of clean air and freedom. It is also a superb location for wildlife spotting, trout and salmon fishing and country pursuits. Duchally borders the River Cassley, a picturesque spate river that winds its way from the source amidst 3 lochs in the head of a dramatic and rugged corrie. Here, the mountains echo with the roar of stags during the rutting season. Red Deer, elusive Sika Deer, Golden Eagles, Harriers and Otters, are all often seen, plus wild salmon leaping in the River Cassley. There are many outdoor activities that can be enjoyed on this Estate, from gentle walks and picnics to clay pigeon shooting and deer stalking. The Estate has its own professional and friendly on site Gamekeeper to point guests in the right direction and provide equipment and guidance for shooting.  
  The fresh air, adventure and freedom are guaranteed to exhaust children!
